Pauline Veronica Anderson

Born to Singleton Russell Terrell and Mildred Therese Taylor. Pauline was the first of nine born to Mildred.

Pauline grew up in South Shore and was baptized at and attended St Columbanus Elementary School and St. Thomas Aquinas Dominican High School.

Pauline met the love of her life, Bruce, in May of 1978. They married on September 8, 1988 in Chicago IL. To this union one child, Derick was born in 1988.

She managed several restaurants across the South Side before earning an Associate’s Degree in Culinary Arts from the City Colleges of Chicago. Then she went on to work for several catering companies as a chef.

In 2013 Pauline bought her first home in the Edgewater community and found a church family at the Park Community Church in Rogers Park.

She enjoyed music of all types, sci/fi and fantasy movies and TV shows, spending time with family and friends, and cooking delicious meals, especially her world famous cheesecakes.

She brought energy, joy and happiness to anyone she met from family and friends to doctors, baristas, to even strangers.

Pauline was preceded in death by her parents Mildred Therese Pitts and Singleton Russell Terrell; her sister Patrice; her grandparents, Pauline and Walter Wierzechowski and Charles and Willa Terrell; her parents in law Herbert and Beth Anderson, aunt Joan Terrell, uncles Lemont, Anthony, George and Anthony Terrell, aunt and uncle in law Lettie and Grover Boone, nephew Rodney Toler and niece Tania L. Toler.

Pauline is survived by her devoted spouse Bruce; her loving son Derick; her brothers, Paul (Tawanna), Patrick (Cheryl), Parlo (Patsy) and Paribe; and brother in law, Herbert (Wanda). Sisters Pamela, Paula and Paribia (Fernard); sisters in law Theodora, Myra, Beverly (Robert), Lisa (Arneda) ; nephews, Michael, Richard, Joshua, Mathew, Miles, Xeryus, Xerique (Jade), Xerondre, Xavier, Xavion, Patrick, Marquese, Fernard, Jason (Melanie), Johnel (Vanna), Michael Anderson (Valencia), Stephen, Robert, Joseph, nieces, Bianca and Jazzmine, Latese (Curly), Tasha (Larry), Jennifer, Janeene, Danielle, Deanne. Aunts, Heather (Michael), Linda, Neysa and Pam, uncle Bruce (Mary), great niece Taylor, great nephews, Xavier and Tyson and Adrian, and a host of cousins and numerous other relatives.
