Patrick John Kraeger

Patrick John “Pat” Kraeger, 58, died unexpectedly Jan. 29, 2017 after a brief illness. A lifelong Chicagoan, Pat was preceded in death by his mother, Martha. Devoted son to John Kraeger; beloved brother of Pete (Bobbin), Susan Kapche (Jim), Joan Jones (the late Kevin), Mary Getty (Jim) and Barb Hailey (Allen). “Crazy Uncle” to: Michelle Pope and Katy Kraeger; Nick, Pat and Genevieve (Hugo Maurin) Kapche; Travis, Allison, Collin and Nolan Jones; Kyle (Kristina) and Neil (Emma Andrews) Getty; Everett and Henry Hailey. Proud Great Uncle to Julia and Maddie Pope. Pat was a gifted mechanic who worked over the years at Cassidy Tire and Service, Pat’s High Tech, and onetime co-owner of Addison Auto Body. Pat kept a fleet of family and friends’ cars running for 40 years. A graduate of St. Ita’s Grammar School and Quigley North High School, Pat was a loyal friend and neighbor who will be missed by many. Visitation Saturday, March 18, 10 a.m. until time of Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Ita’s Church.
