I just learned of Mike's passing.  I'm very sorry for your loss.  I have fond memories of Mike.  I am keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers.

To Our Dearest Friends and Loved One’s, as I realize with the passing of Sweetest Day and it’s been a month without our Beloved Mike I thought I would again share the prayer I said the morning we met at the funeral home to celebrate his Home going and to a life well lived! Thank you for all of you prayers, thoughts and supports on behalf of the Ruhl Family.

Dear God,

We Thank you for today. Another day upon this earth to carry out your will. With all Praise, Honor and Glory. 

Petition:
But this day, Lord, please this day I pray you fill us over flowing with all the Power and Strength of your Holy Spirit so that we be able to Joyfully meet and greet all fellow grieving friends of Mike's who will truly miss our Beloved, Since we know that he is well and stands in your Glorious presence at this very moment. 
(I am sure Mike would want us to be in a spirit of celebration and that we and have much Joy!)

He and I knew that this was to be his Re-Birth Day into the eternal life of the Spirit. Yes, we are sad, we will mourn. But today it's time to be glad and Joyful because the rebirth has come!! 

Please, for our Beloved Mike, Let us all display the Faith and Joy  that Mike so effortlessly demonstrated to us while he said his goodbyes. As today we will meet and greet all those who come to pay their final respects for him our Beloved Mike Ruhl.

We ask this all in the name of Jesus Christ and the Power of your Holy Spirit! Amen! Amen and Amen!

Mike and I were stationed together on the USS Dahlgren for a couple years. We saw the world together and had some of the best times and the greatest laughs. You will be greatly missed Brother. Rest In Peace my friend. 

I loved Mike!  I served with him in the United States Navy from July 1985 to January 1989.  We worked in the same office.  His smile, attitude and love of life affected everyone.!  He loved to sing and was always ready for a party.! He was a great friend and a great American veteran! I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that he has the mic in heaven and he has stolen the show there!  Rest easy my brother...fair winds and following seas are my desire for your soul.  See you soon my brother!  Love you Michael!!!!

Blessings and condolences to family and friends..Fond teenage memories with Mike Dan Dermody and myself..Many fun and fond memories from many concerts  growing up early teens in Calumet City..Dan Mike and I had a 'Sha-na-na' tribute band where we'd grease back our hair and do 3 part harmonies door to door..3 amigos growing up learning how to be men..May God rest your soul Mike I'll see you when my work here is done...

So sorry to hear of Mikes passing. Mike was a patron at the library I worked at and yes he loved to read! Always looking for new books to place on hold. Forget his library card alot (lol) since he was a regular we took care of him. He didn't like the computer too much always needed our help. But always so Thankful when you would help him out. He smile was thanks enough. And on his way out would stop and tell us to have a Good Day and remembered  all our names. Just a good guy! My heart breaks for all of you. 

I remember Mike as always being kind and understanding,  He always smiled and had a positive attitude about everything. I am sure his family will miss him dearly.

They’re not. This is all about the Lord here on out. I’m positive Mike’s spirit and soul are at total peace right now. It’s just the flesh hanging onto the world because that’s what God designed it to do..

  Lord, I pray that you not let our  beloved Mike suffer anymore. We thank you for the time that you have given him to us on our journey and we have hope to see him again along with our other loved ones who have been known by you and gone before us in Paradise on the day you have already chosen and is written in the book of Life. Amen

From duets of Kid Rock and Sheryl Crow to The Stones, I could always count on Mike as a singing partner. I’ll know you’re with me whenever I hear “Dead Flowers” or explain the meaning behind a “Three Dog Night”.  You always called me your soul sister... you’ll always be my soul brother. Until we meet again my friend. Love you Mike!

Mike was a great guy, and a heck of a performer! He used to steal the show when my band would play in the neighborhood, a true legend. The Coyote Riot guys will miss you Mike! 

What I remember most was his smile. His beautiful smile.   He seemed to be 90% of the time  happy  and very charming.                        I really liked him. He was a very nice      good  looking   man    Again though   it was his smile   I’m sad for his family and friends, that have lost him    But he is now with his Heavenly Father.     And  I will not have lost a friend. Because I know I will see him in Heaven  in Gods time.   God bless his family. So long for now Mike til we meet again.  Lovingly Loretta
