My heart goes out to Sandy and the Macino family.  As a kid, I remember Mr. Macino always greeted me with enthusiasm during  visits at their house with Lara. He made us laugh and was there at our softball games cheering us on.  Thanks for shining a bright light wherever you went! Give Lara a hug for me!

We were blessed to have Mike and Sandy as our neighbors in Redridge, MI.  Mike’s big, bold personality brought a smile to our faces everyday.  From working the elections (and Mike yelling “hear ye, hear ye, the polls are now open” at 7am), to socializing with Mike as he checked IDs at the Michigan Tech hockey games, to coffee dates (almost weekly) with Mike and Sandy in their kitchen…we will cherish all those memories.  Mike was never one to pass up a turkey dinner from Quincy’s, a vanilla long john from EconoFoods, or some egg foo young from Hunan Garden.  We will miss the mutual snow plowing days, crossing the friendship bridge for a visit or a bonfire, and hearing how many coins Mike had on his online games.  Until we meet again, Mike, we will hold you and your whole family in our hearts.

Mike Macino my father in law was one of the most amazing person I will ever know and it was a honor to call him Dad. He has touched so many. When he would walk anywhere he lit up the room with his amazing personality whether you were a family a friend or complete stranger. His jokes would keep everyone laughing. No matter the distance when he moved to MI he was always there. If you needed him he would rush over. I’ll miss his amazing hellos to his who is is who is it when you would walk in the house or the simple how was your day bud? I cherish the day he allowed me to marry his daughter and merry into his family. He also accepted me as one of his own and I will always cherish him until we meet again

Mr. Macino was such a bright light that will be missed in the world. When I was a kid, he was always so welcoming and hilarious. I always looked forward to his jokes while hanging out with Lara.  I hope the two of them are laughing together now. Lots of love to the Macino family.

Sincere condolences to Sandy and Mike’s family.  Mike was always so nice to me and his humor made me laugh.  I remember fondly his helping his mother many times after a good commodities win. Rest in peace Mike.  Marsha (formerly Macino) Silagy

Rest in peace, my dearest uncle.  Thank you for always treating me like your own son, for teaching me how to golf, drive, for letting me practically live at your house in the summers, and for all of the fun trips to Disney World.
