Maria Bran, 90, of Chicago, born in Guatamala, passed away suddenly April 8, 2013. Beloved mother of Victor (the late Gladys) Bran and Judith (Carlos) Cifuentes; cherished grandmother and great grandmother of many; loving sister of Piadad (the late Pedro) Melgar; devoted aunt of Gloria (Carlos) Veliz, Cesar (Julia) Melgar, Mario (Nancy) Melgar and Rosa Maria (Pablo) Barraso; dearest great aunt and great, great aunt of many. Visitation Friday, April 12th, 3 - 9 p.m. at Drake & Son Funeral Home, 5303 N. Western Ave., Chicago. Prayers Saturday, April 13th at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Matthias Church, 2310 W.
