Born, June 11, 1922, in Chicago, Loretta was the daughter of Joseph and Marianne (nee Dul) Stachula. She was raised and educated in Chicago at St. Stanislaus B. & M. School and attended Schurz High School. She was proud to work for White Cap Company until her retirement at age 62.
Loretta is the devoted mother of daughter Donna (Alan) Wolak, loving grandmother to Marc Wolak, great grandmother to great grandsons Cooper & Ryker Wolak and cherished aunt to numerous nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, and great grandnieces and grandnephews.
She is preceded in death by husband, Louis, her parents, Joseph and Marianne, and her brothers: Charles Stachula, John (Jean) Stachula, Joseph (Geraldine) Stachula, Edward (Anne) Stachula, Benedict Stachula, and Raymond (Lillian) Stachula, and sisters: Estelle (Al) Philipski and Natalie (Chester) Arendt, nieces, and nephews.
Loretta will be most remembered for her love of family and family gatherings, for her love of games of chance – bingo, slot machines, cards, scratch-offs, etc., and for her love of dogs.
Family will receive relatives and friends for a visitation on Wednesday, December 22, 2021, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Malec & Sons Funeral Home, (Edward A. Tylka, Manager), 6000 N. Milwaukee Avenue in Chicago. A celebration of Loretta’s life will continue Thursday, December 23, 202 with a short visitation from 9:00 am until closing prayers at the funeral home chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Ferdinand’s Church in Chicago beginning at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at St. Adalbert’s Cemetery in Niles.
