Resembled JESUS more than anyone I've known  in my 66 yrs,hes the 13th apostle (probably should have been the first) I grew up about 100 ft.away from him,knew him a s a neighbor but to know him and his heart about 35 yrs ago,I painted most of his house,im a professional painter.he was so nice n comfortable to be around.he n I, I think last yr.removed wallpaper in 2nd floor bathroom,he help me the entire time,he was 91 and was up and down ladders and climbing around like he was 20 yrs old,we were in a small area so I had to be careful not to bump into his 'halo',but it shined so bright I was able to avoid it(though hoping it would reflect on me)but it did as it did on everyone he met,without a doubt, the nicest person I have ever met.when I go to heaven, I hope JESUS has a big lap,because I want to sit next JESUS'S  twin....lee gerali.

My husband, Eddie, and Leroy were the youngest of seven boys ….Leroy being the baby. Eddie and Leroy were very close, and had so much fun being together, love and laughter being part of their life. It was a complete joy being around Leroy. Now, his Heavenly family and his Lord, are experiencing the joy that we will miss.

Unfortunately I never had the chance to meet Mr. Gerali  but I feel I know Papa through his granddaughter and great grandson, Danielle and Jayden.

I work with Danielle very closely for years and always heard stories about what a great, sensitive and strong man that he was. 

Danielle spoke about how they would travel to go fishing together something he really enjoyed.  

I feel we are very connected as Papa had the same birthday as one of my daughters and was born the same year as my mother.

Know he is at peace and is still being the Papa, father and uncle in heaven as you all knew him here.  

My prayers are with you.  God will never leave you nor forsake you.  Amen

I met Mr.Gerali years ago when he came into my old job for assistance.
He was one of the sweetest, most gentle people I'd come across, and I had a soft spot for him from that point bc he reminded me so much of my late grandfather.
When I found out Danielle is his granddaughter, it was like our paths were meant to meet. 
That interaction with Mr. Gerali stayed with me for YEARS, even to this day. My heart is broken for his family and friends.
RIP, sir. Thank you for making the world a better place.

We first met him as Mr. Gerali, my husband’s brother’s father-in-law.
He always treated our kids like his own grandchildren.
He would always correct them if they called him Mr Gerali, no, call me Papa. He loved everyone.

Uncle Lee was one of the greatest men I knew.  His love for God , his kindness , his sincerity, his caring and his love  shined like a beacon to heaven  his whole life..  all the attributes I strive for in my life.. One of the fondest memories I can recall in recent memory happened in the hospital cafeteria when my mom suffered her first stroke 7 years ago... A conversation with uncle Lee , my dad and me.. It was about their youth , their military experiences , the church and aunt Pauline and my mom Theresa..Stories I have never heard before. I wish I could have taped that conversation.  My deepest condolences to Debbie, Linda and Family as well as everyone else who loved Uncle Leroy like I have… Uncle Lee give aunt Pauline, Jennifer❤️ , Paul, Theresa and all rest of our beautiful families that have passed before us, a big  hug and a kiss from me.. can’t wait to do some fishing with you again . I love you Uncle!!
