Katherine Barrera

She is survived by many family and friends. Katherine was married to her high school sweetheart, Natividad D. Barrera, for 45 years. Their love was one of kind, whose marriage was admired by many. They had four children who she enjoyed laughing and spending time with: Danny Barrera, Maureen (Juan) Castillo, Christina (Junior) Garcia, Jennifer (Daniel) Tamayo. Beloved grandmother of Emelia, Anthony, Adrian, Andrea, Noemi, Aiden, Lorenzo, and Jacob who were her pride and joy.

Lovingly remembered by her stepmother, Jane Vigil, and siblings Pedro Vigil, Henrietta Vigil, Laurie Delgadillo, Anita Garza, and Joseph Gonzalez. Survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Katherine had a heart of gold, always helping others, regardless of her pain. When she wasn’t with family, she spent her time on all sorts of crafts, long talks with friends, and caring for her pets. She enjoyed being a beautician for many years, talking and sharing many laughs with everyone who sat in her chair.

Per her wishes, there will be no services. A private memorial will be held with her immediate family only.
