Born to Angel Rodriguez and Bartola Rodriguez on December 23rd 1933 in Irapuato, Guanajuato Mexico.
Ma had 7 other siblings, 1 who still walks this earth and the others are resting peacefully.
Ma married at a young age to one of the most respected men there could have been, she married Antonio Ramirez (Chapa)who’s matrimony lasted 49 beautiful years. They wanted only the best for their future so they relocated together to Chicago, Illinois where Ma has lived her entire life. Because of them WE the Ramirez family are here in the USA. Together they created the first generation of the Ramirez family: Eldest,Juan Antonio (Guero), late Raymundo(Mono),Gloria (Mona),Lisabel (Chabelita),Juanita(Jenni) late Angel(Niño) Oralia (Yayo)and last but not least her baby boy Rogelio (Chato). The Ramirez family grew and the next generation was created throughout the years with Ma leaving behind 40 grandkids, approximately 61 great-grandkids and the with the third generation in the making. At the age of 63 Ma widowed due to the unexpected passing of her late husband Antonio in July of 1997. Although abuelito parted ways with Ma, he left her in great hands with their daughter Jenni, who cared for Ma for over 20 years.
Like everyone else who steps on this very ground, Ma was not perfect but with Gods guide she tried her best at life. Her life was filled with the finer things in life, but she also struggled and had many sorrows. Those of us who gave Ma the time of the day new that Ma enjoyed a good talk, she was a great listener and advisor. Ma gave her help in every which way that she possibly could of if their was a need. Ma liked watching her TV novelas, old and new movies and she liked to listen to her reggaeton.
Ma touched our lives in a way that some may not imagine. Although Ma let it be known that she didn’t want to leave,Our Lord new she was tired so she was taken to rest peacefully on 02/21/2018.. Ma’s parting to Heaven has many family members along with her Chapa and primarily Our Father waiting to receive her as she walk through the gates of heaven. She leaves us behind in despair but her legacy will forever live on and her memories will forever be in our hearts.
