Recall also that Joyce loved to see and laugh with former KMZ colleagues. Her desire to see people again, and her work, are the reasons these email lists exist and that we had the many informal KMZ reunion lunches and dinners

It's sad that Joyce did not receive more years of life. But she lived those years more fully than many and did things her way. She will be missed and remembered.

At work, Joyce  was an incredibly talented and dedicated legal secretary for litigation back in the era when it truly took lots of skill and savvy to work as a legal secretary in litigation. When things needed to get done, Joyce was a key member of a small cadre of assistants who were widely respected and trusted to get things done, correctly and even beautifully. Indeed, Joyce took great pride in her mastery of  Word Perfect and her resulting ability to make a brief look great, with the pages and footnotes all arranged beautifully. That  result became much harder to achieve when Word took over, resulting in Joyce sometimes cursing Bill Gates with vehemence, usually with a big smile on her face.  And, yes,  Joyce also had a temper and snapped at people from time to time, but sometimes deservedly so. More than a few Mondays included the delivery to Joyce (and/or Roni Hill) of a large Ronsley bouquet from lawyers who had unintentionally pushed too hard.


Joyce and I were a team at KMZ for many great years.  Her spirit and enthusiasm at work and at home always shone brightly.  My heartfelt condolences to all the Nuccio’s for their loss.  Joyce was one of a kind and fiercely loved her family.
