José R. Fuentes

José was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He and Elena were an inseparable, affectionate couple (pichones). He enjoyed the simple pleasures in life: watching Cubs games, drinking a beer, and eating peanuts. He had a generous, kind soul; always looking out for others and mentoring many at work.

José is survived by his two loving children Alex (Yolanda) Fuentes and Mony (Les) Boros; his loving grandchildren Viana (Jonathan) Abrams, Brandon (Lauren) Boros, Alyssa Boros, Gilberto (Edna) Fuentes and Rebecca Fuentes; his loving great grandchildren Sienna, Sloane, Emma and Aurora; he was the proud padrino to many. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 69 years Elena who passed away on November 30, 2022, his parents, and siblings.

A visitation for José will be held Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Drake & Son Funeral Home, 5303 North Western Ave, Chicago, IL 60625. A prayer service will occur Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM, 5303 North Western Ave, Chicago, IL 60625. A graveside service will occur Thursday, December 29, 2022 from 10:45 AM to 11:00 AM at Montrose Cemetery, 5400 N Pulaski Rd, Chicago, IL 60630.
