Jose Antonio Flores Velasquez, 88, passed away in his home surrounded by loving family on June 7, 2021. Beloved husband of Maria De La Luz Martinez De Flores for over Sixty five years. Devoted father of Martha Flores, Guadalupe Guzman, Andres Flores, Maria De La Luz Cortez, Antonio Flores and Carlos Flores. Adored grandfather of nine grandchildren and twenty great-grandchildren. He is predeceased by his parents, Antonio Flores and Guadalupe Velasquez Flores.
He was a chef at the Wrigley Building for over forty years and retired from his position there.
A visitation will be held at Drake and Son Funeral Home, 5303 N Western Ave, Chicago IL, 60625, on Friday June 11, 2021 from 4pm to 9pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Bartholomew's Church, 4949 W Patterson Ave, Chicago IL 60641, on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 10am. Interment at Rosehill Cemetery to follow.
