I was very sorry to hear of John's death.  He and I worked together.  He always had a funny story and a twinkle in his eye.  My deepest condolences to his family.

John was a very sweet and generous man with a great sense of humor who always thought of others before himself.  I'm thankful to have been able to call him a friend. R.I.P. John:)

You always made us laugh, taught us not to take ourselves so seriously, and helped us enjoy life.

We will greatly miss being around John Larsen because he made us laugh, cry and enjoy each others company at CNA.  God has given him his wings and taken him home to heaven where he now lives an enteral life. May you now rest in peace.

He was a great friend. We had many good nights together at card games between 1981 and 1997 -- and in the Armchair Football League. He was a fine man and he had a great sense of humor. He will be sorely missed.

John was wonderful to work with, as many alluded to below because of his big heart, kindness and willingness to help others, and amazing sense of humor.  John and his family will be in my thoughts and prayers.  God bless...

If you knew John, you knew the things he loved, sports, people (especially Christian) and sharing his vast knowledge of Insurance. One memory I will fondly recall is how he would express his frustration with "Aww phooey". Rest in eternal peace John.

Our monthly card games between 1981 and 1997 were more for the laughs than they were for the money. We all enjoyed them tremendously. All though we hadn't seen one another in ten years, we managed to maintain some contact through the games in the Armchair Football League, which provided a lot of happy memories as well. Whether it was talking him into playing Santa Claus at the company party or busting his chops about his beloved Yankees, John was a great guy and will be sorely missed. Ellen and all of John's family have my condolences.

Although I met John through business, we always enjoyed a laugh and a smile and were happy to see each other at the many industry meetings he attended. Our industry has lost a staple of the events we attends and he will be missed by many.
