John A. Fisher, Jr., AKA “Sgt. Smooth”, Age 62 passe away on January 29, 2020 surrounded by his family and close friends. John was the loving husband of Debbie for 40 years; father to Beckie and Johnny; uncle to Jenny, Rob, Janene, Rachel, Bobby, Jackie, Ben, and many more; caring cousin and special friend to many; Godfather to Jenny, Rachel, Bobby, Jaime, and Reno Jr.; Brother-In-Law to Michael Drayer, Pat Sawicki, and Michael Sawicki; preceded in death by his grandparents Mary and Paul Comito; and his parents John and Dolores Fisher, Sr.; and sister Joanne Drayer.
John was very proud to work for Cook County since 1984. In 1994 he joined the Cook County Sheriff’s Department and became a Sergeant shortly after. He was a Sergeant with SWAP for most of his 31 year career with Cook County. In all of his time with the County, he was respected and loved by many.
