James Edward Connolly

James Edward “Lapper” Connolly, age 70, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 7, 2023. He is survived by his beloved wife Marie; adoring children: James (Kelly), Kevin CPD (Heather), Michael and Kristin; cherished grandfather of Madeline, Jimbo, Allison and Ryan. Dear brother, Steve (Mary) Connolly; brother-in-law, Dennis Smith; sisters-in-law: Elizabeth (Scott) Neilsen and Linda (John) Duignan.

Special Uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Cousin, Godfather, Coach and Friend to many.

Preceded in death by his parents: James and Virginia Connolly; sister, Judy (James) O’Brien and brother-in-law, John Smith.

Jim was a longtime employee of the City of Chicago Bureau of Electricity. He loved his family more than anything, especially his grandchildren.

Friends and family will gather for a visitation that will take place on Tuesday, June 13th, 2023 from 4:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Andrew J. McGann & Son Funeral Home, 10727 South Pulaski Road, Chicago, Illinois. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, June 14th, 2023 with 9:00 A.M. prayers from Andrew J. McGann & Son Funeral Home to St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church, 10621 South Kedvale Avenue, Oak Lawn, Illinois with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 A.M. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Alsip, Illinois
