Irma Lugo Gonzalez, age 87, was born on November 10, 1936 in Yauco, Puerto Rico and passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, in Chicago, Illinois, surrounded by her loving family. Irma was married to the late Ruben Gonzalez; daughter of the late Bautista Lugo & Clara Martinez; loving mother of Carmen Linda Maounis, Marta Gonzalez Arce, Sara McSparin, Irma I. Gonzalez and the late Clara Gonzalez Rivera; adoring grandmother of 14 ; most adoring great-grandmother of 23 ; great-great-grandmother of 3 ; cherished sister of 11 ; unforgettable aunt; caring cousin; and fond friend of many.
Irma worked at Welles Garden (formerly Zenith TV) for over fifty years, Avon Representative for over forty years. She was a true entrepreneur with various ventures. Irma enjoyed traveling, going out to eat, visiting the Casino, playing Bingo, but most of all she enjoyed being with her family. She volunteered at Little Brothers, the food pantry and church. She was loved and adored by many and will be missed.
