Henry A Miller

Henry A. Miller, 87, passed away on August 22, 2020 in Chicago, IL. Beloved husband to Diana A. née Pallasch of fifty years. Loving father to Henry Andrew "Andy" Miller of Chicago, IL and Bernard Anthony "Tony" Miller of Hamamatsu, Japan. Cherished brother to Thomas and Joseph Miller. He is predeceased by his parents Henry and Helen Miller. He attended St. Leo's High School (South Side Chicago). He joined the United States Army during the Korean War and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. While stationed there he showed his talented as a great basketball player by playing for the United States Army team. He later attended and graduated from Loyola University. He participated as an extra in the Chicago Lyric Opera. He also enjoyed tennis and was a PTR & PTA certified tennis instructor. A visitation will be held on Monday, September 7, 2020 from 4-8pm at Drake and Son Funeral Home, 5303 N Western Ave, Chicago, IL 60625. Mass of Christian Burial will take place the following day on September 8, 2020 at 10am at St. Gertrude Parish, 1420 W Granville Ave, Chicago, IL 60660. Interment to follow at All Saints Catholic Cemetery, Des Plaines, IL. In consideration of the safety of all our guests and associates, Drake and Son Funeral Home will adhere to the current gathering restrictions in the state of Illinois, which allows 50 or fewer guests at services.
