As a youth, George was active in his local Boys and Girls Club. An accomplished athlete, he participated in several sports at Notre Dame for Boys High School - most notably on the celebrated 1970 basketball team.
After high school, George completed his Associate’s degree at Wright Junior College and his B.A. from Northwestern University. An avid and enthusiastic chef, he also earned a culinary degree from Dumas Pere L’Ecole de la Cuisine Francaise.
George had a big heart, a great smile and a wonderful laugh, a wicked sense of humor, and lots of love for the people he held dearly. He will be greatly missed.
