So sad to hear the news. My deepest condolences to the immediate family and friends. Ed was the consummate professional along with having a great sense of humor. Ed, got me in the Graphic Arts industry when he hired me for my first sales position at Roberts & Porter. He was my mentor for many years and learned so much from sales to how to be a better person in life. Because of Ed I went on to have a very fulfilling career in the Industry for the next 40 years. Ed will always be in my heart as a good friend and business colleague. God Speed Edmund 🙏

I had a chance to meet Ed through my good friend John Sehl who was his nephew.  I remember going to his house for his big St Pats day party.   Ed was always a kind and gracious host who loved to talk.  He would always make you feel right at home.

Many fond memories of the house on Lakewood.  Ed and Margaret (Mr. & Mrs. H. to me) were always a presence at block parties and they welcomed me into their family and home as did Paulina, Margie and Bill.  Over the many years on Lakewood, I witnessed Ed’s love for his family and the joy he brought to his role as father and grandfather.  His presence is missed.  May he be at peace and be sharing laughs and smiles with Mrs. H. Up in heaven.

Edmund was a loving father to his kids and an incredible uncle to his many nieces and nephews. He welcomed my sisters and me for many summers and made us feel like part of the family; including us even on family vacations. He always made a point to talk to everyone and get to know them. His example of his love for Margaret, and for his children, and grandkids; he had such pride talking about all of them as I grew up. Over the years he always stayed in touch; calling me every month to check in. So grateful that he met and married Judy; he loved her, her daughters, and the granddaughters; they all brought so much joy to his life! So grateful that my children had several visits with their Great-Uncle and experienced his voice, his laugh, his stories; and felt his love too!

We missed a great man . God bless . You will be remembered and be in our heart always.I’m honestly thankful I met a person like that in my life . 


Ed Hutchinson will be greatly missed by the ones he left behind on this Earth and thoroughly  embraced by those who went before him.
He was instrumental in my upbringing. He was a stellar father to three amazing children  Margie, Paulina and Bill and a loving and doting husband to Margaret. Together they were a wonderful living example of how families and relationships should be. Ed was active in the neighborhood politics, block parties etc. he was o full of life and a great story teller!!
I never got to meet Judy but I’m sure she and her children filled a void that he desperately needed. Thank you. I wish you all peace and happiness in this difficult transition.


You were a second father to me and Grandpa Hutchinson to my children. You watched over all of us Senn kids in high school. You were a fun loving, caring man to all of us. May you Rest In Peace.  

We had Great Times Together.  I will miss you, Dad!

Uncle Edmund Hutchinson was not only my uncle but Godfather also. I’ll NEVER forget him attending my college graduation and how he met 13 other colleagues in my class. He addressed himself as my GODFATHER FROM CHICAGO. That didn’t scare them off they’re still my friends to this day. Edmund was a KIND LOVABLE GUY. He was a family man and kept everyone together. I LOVE him very much and will miss him immensely. 

This was taken nearly 5 years ago with  some members of fellow American Roller sales reps. I worked for Ed while he was there and he will be missed at our Christmas lunch reunions.  He was always ready with a story of the Printing business he loved and the occupation of sales. He loved his family and grandkids always and talked of them often. He often talked about how he and Margaret built their life and how he was enjoying life at this time with his new wife.  Huge laugh huge heart and always kind. 

Dearest Edmund had a huge heart of gold. A gentle giant that loved deeply. A wholehearted laugh I will never forget. Energy and sincerity abounded. A generous soul….  he will be deeply missed.  Rest In Peace Uncle Edmund.   Your family in Heaven are overjoyed you are with them once again.  Your family here on earth feel a great void and you will be forever deeply missed. Uncle Edmund was a genuine person that was loved by all.  I remember all the good times we shared over the years.  I remember when I was in medical school in Chicago he would invite me to many family functions as well as let me live at Ed and Margaret’s house for a year as I was doing my hospital rotations.  We enjoyed many great times with family and friends.  I will never forget Edmund and my family and I will miss him dearly.
