Donald A. Norton , 95, died at his home in Chicago on Sept. 12, 2013 of natural causes; born in Cleveland, Ohio to Irene (Alexander) and Clifford Norton; attended Russell Township School and the Cleveland School of Art; served the Army Air Corps, as a Lt. Colonel and bombardier on the B24 "Touch of Texas". Married Carol (Charpie) Norton in 1959 and together, with sister Elizabeth (Betty), developed Clifford Norton Studio, established 1907 by Clifford Norton. The portrait studio served clients all across the northeast area of Ohio. Don had two sisters, Jane (Norton) Rampe (deceased) and Elizabeth (Norton) Greve. He is survived by his wife Carol; daughter Lisa, daughter Johanna Sawyer, and son Clifford; grandchildren Rebecca Sawyer, Esther Sawyer, Johanna Sawyer, Hannah Sawyer, and Rae Norton; son-in-law Thomas Sawyer and daughter-in-law Audrey (Kisner) Norton; sister Elizabeth (Norton) Greve of The Weils, Chagrin Falls, OH, nephew John Rampe, nieces Elizabeth (Rampe) Edmonds and Martha (Rampe) Whitbeck; in-laws Laura (Wheeler) Rampe, Harlan Edmonds, and Elinore (Evans) Rampe. Visitation and service Monday, Sept. 16, at The Moody Church 1635 North LaSalle Drive, Chicago, Il, followed by graveside services at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery 20963 Hoff Road, Elmwood Illinois.
