A visitation for David Bryant Smock will be held Sunday, September 2, 2018 from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ridge Funeral Home, 6620 West Archer Ave, Chicago, IL 60638. A funeral service will occur Monday, September 3, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Ridge Funeral Home. David was born in Chicago on February 13, 1956. Beloved husband of Rita nee Naujoks for 34 years. Loving father of Kenneth, Stephanie and Kevin. Dearest son of the late Ralph C. and Gloria nee Scheurer. Fond brother of his late twin brother, Ralph E. and Beth Ann(Leslie) Ast . Fond uncle of Paul (Lydia), Brian (Sara) and Adam (Kelly) Ast.

Caring brother of Dennis (Margaret nee Newren). Uncle of Dennis and Allison (Tony) La.

Devoted brother of Allen (Amy nee Shelton). Uncle to Kirsten (Charles), Allen Dale (Mary) and Kathleen (Joe).

David has been a professional truck driver for over 40 years which he truly loved and was dedicated to it.

He and his father ran Liquid Lawn Fertilizing Inc. for over 50 years. It was a side business and Dave took over from his dad and he really enjoyed doing it He loved his customers and took the best care of their lawns. This was David's baby.
