I am greatly sorry for all of the family members that have lost a wonderful human being god take of care of him, By far one of the best subs at eps (east prairie school).

He was the best sub at east prairie. Rip. I send my condolences to the family of our beloved sub. 

I remember the first time i met Mr. Chan. We had a lot of different memories and he was one of the favorite subs that people enjoyed. Mr.Chan will forever be remembered at East Prairie. Rest in paradise.

I am so sorry for anyone who lost Mr.Chan he was the best sub and i will never forget the argument we had the last time I saw him. The mask on top of his head was my favorite of all time. RIP

It has been an honor to work with and know Mr. Chan at East Prairie School. He was always ready for a conversation and took the time to get to know and follow up with staff when he was at our school. I found him to have an interest in so many things and an enthusiasm and authenticity that is rare. He will be missed. May his memory be for a blessing.

He was such a good sub and had the best outfits. He was great and we will miss him. I remember when he used to substitute us and we had such a good time. I hope his family is doing well. Us students and devastated over what happened to him. School will never be the same without or beloved substitute teacher, Mr. Chan. He was very dedicated to teaching and equality, but he also allowed a fair share of fun to be had in class. This made him truly appeal to us. Many condolences to the family. Rest in peace truly. 

i am a student where Mr. Chan substituted and he was a very kind teacher. he was always great with making sure we would get our work done and was a big contribution to the school, and always tried to make school for students fun and tried to talk with the students in free times during the day. my deepest condolences to anyone close to him & people in his family. 

Mr.Chan was an amazing sub at MCC, it was nice when he tried to help the kids in my math class. He had this child-like energy around him it wasn’t a bad thing though, I’m glad for the times I saw him in the hallways in class. I’m sending many prayers for his friends and family. Mr. Chan, you will be remembered and close to people's hearts. 

Mr. Chan always used to sub for us at Lincoln Hall. We made jokes with him and laughed. I am so sorry for your loss 🙏

I’m one of the students at McCracken Middle School. I’m so sorry for your loss. Mr. Chan used to be my sub for some classes. He was my favorite sub of all time. I used to fist bump him in the hall way and he would always laugh or be confused after. We would make jokes together always laugh even if they didn’t make any sense. I hope he can be at peace. I remember the first time I met Mr. Chan, he was a substitute at our school. I remember making him a self portrait one day. I also remember when we would act like he was famous at our school some days. I was very shocked and very upset to hear about his passing. I am so sorry for the people who lost Mr. Chan. A moment I remember was him substituting at Eps. I remember he once yelled at my friend when she asked why he was snooping through Mrs. Dovi's stuff. He was always angee but I still loved him with all my heart. My condolences pookie bears 😘

Mr. Chan was the best substitute ever. He tried his best to make class fun and one day he wore a spider man mask to school to show his love for superheroes. Rest in peace king. 

Danny worked with us in The Substitute Cooperative.  He always came through the doors at McCracken school with enthusiasm.  He was always so flexible with his assignments and enjoyed working with all the students.  He will be missed in the hallways. 

So so sorry for your loss! Danny was a substitute at East Prairie School and always came in with a smile and friendly personality. He was always happy to have students to work with or other ways to support East prairie. He was enjoyed by everyone who got to know him and we loved seeing him in the building whenever he could work at our school. I am deeply sorry for this unexpected loss and wish you all much comfort during this difficult time. 

I would like to offer my deepest condolences to Danny’s family. Danny was a great man. I first met him when he was a teenager and attending Chicago Chinese Baptist Church over 30 years ago. I was always inspired by his friendly smile and laughter. When I retired this year, I decided to open a Facebook page as a hobby. Danny reached out to me right away after all these years. His enthusiasm for life came through each post he shared. I am truly grateful to have called him my brother in Christ. May God comfort his mother, his wife and his son during this time.

My deepest condolences to your family as you deal with Danny's unexpected passing.  It's been years since I saw  Danny in person at CCBC but I recall that Danny was always kind hearted, helpful and it seemed natural that his calling in life was in education.  He will be missed by all who knew him. Although its a very difficult time i hope that you find comfort and peace in Jesus.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.

My condolences to Mrs. Chan, Danny's wife and son.  Danny was a kind and generous soul.  I went to Swift elementary with him and recall many wonderful childhood memories of Danny and his love for superheroes having spent a lot time at his place reading his vintage superman and batman comic collection.   I recall spending  fun summers riding on our bikes around the neighborhood and local high school with Danny and his cousins.

I'm so sorry to hear about Danny's passing. He was very helpful in our preschool classroom, and the kids enjoyed singing and playing with him. My condolences to his family and loved ones. 

Danny was a friendly and well-loved teacher. We could always count on him. I will not forget his smile and the conversations we shared in the lounge. He is very missed here at McCracken. 

Danny was a very kind colleague at McCracken. I enjoyed talking to him during lunch breaks, and he always loved talking about his son. He will be missed at McCracken.

Danny worked at my school often, and was always friendly and kind. He loved to have a coffee in the morning, so we usually chatted about that. I'll miss seeing him!

Danny was a wonderfully positive and dependable substitute teacher for us at McCracken School.  He will be missed.
