Bing Kuen Chin, 84, of Park Ridge Illinois, passed away on Friday June 9th, 2023 to join his loving wife Aileen So Git Chin. Bing was born in Hong Kong on July 29,1938. He was the beloved son of the late Hing Fong Young and How Lan Liu. He is survived by his children: devoted father to Matthew (Lisa) Chin of Chicago, Illinois, Marvin Chin (Jamy Belcher) of Arizona, Myron (Amy) Chin of Chicago, Illinois, and Michelle (Thad) Lee of Buffalo Grove, Illinois and adoring grandfather to Tyler and Keian Chin, Madelyn and Megan Lee.
Bing started his career in the restaurant business where he spent over 30 years at Jimmy Wong’s Cantonese Restaurant in Chicago, Illinois where he made many lifelong friends. With his loving wife, Aileen, they were devoted to caring for their family and friends. Working in the restaurant business, he was always the perfect host that welcomed you with a warm smile and opened his home to many family gatherings. To Bing, there was always an extra chair at the dinner table for those who entered his home. He was a devoted sports fan and had a fondness for horse racing. He loved watching the Chicago Bulls (win or lose) and enjoyed keeping up with the latest financial market trends. It is his kindness, warm-heart, generosity, quick wit and sense of humor that will be remembered. He will be greatly missed and loved by all.
Friends and family will gather for a visitation that will be held Monday, June 26th, from 4pm - 8pm at Drake and Son Funeral Home, 5303 North Western Avenue, Chicago, Illinois 60625. Funeral services will begin at 10am on Tuesday, June 27th, 2023, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Rosehill Cemetery.
