Beverly was a sweetheart; she always had a smile to share with all of us, and a helping hand to extend to anyone who needed it.  Her and I shared many stories, car rides, moments looking for her holiday decorations, adventures at IJR, parties and life stories.  Bevy, you will always be remembered, it makes me sad that we could not talk about the picture where you are all dressed up, it turns out, that the lady you are standing next to in that picture, is my mother! 

Hi Ms. Bev,

THANK YOU for being not inly an ANGEL on earth, but now in the skies!! We all love and miss you here!! I know you are still around. I can feel your loving presence!! Continue to look over us!!

My fondest memories are of Ms. Beverly and myself always talking at the desk. She was always excited to hear me talk about my grandbabies. My eldest granddaughter used to visit with my daughter in law when she was a little one. Ms. Beverly will NEVER be forgotten because she was and IS WELL LOVED ALWAYS

My workdays at UIC always started with a friendly greeting and beautiful smile from Beverly. We shared many laughs and complaints (mostly about bad Chicago weather) over the years 
Whenever my daughter visited the office, Beverly always offered a cookie or two. Seeing the holiday displays and getting a treat were some of her favorite parts of visiting UIC.  Beverly was kind, friendly, and will definitely be missed by everyone who worked in the building. My sincere condolences to her family.  


Ms. Beverly shared fun,  love and light with every child who came through our doors at IJR. She is remembered and missed by so many for her sense of humor, cheerful holiday decorations and friendly greetings.

Rhapsody 

Beverly was an absolute treasure in her post at the security desk for the Institute for Juvenile Research. She was the first person who families met when they entered our building and she always made sure they were greeted and welcomed. No one entered without a smile from Bev. She was especially wonderful with the kids who were coming in for their therapy. We were all so sad to hear of her passing and especially because we hadn't seen her this year due to Covid. She will always be remembered by our staff, our families, and especially the children. We miss her already.

Beverly was a wonderful person whom I enjoyed talking  to whenever I came in to work at the UIC Institute for Health Research and Policy where Beverly worked security. She was always “up” and ready for a good laugh. We shared many Cubbie stories. I wish we could have talked about that umpteen pitch at bat by Anthony Rizzo yesterday. 

Part of Bev’s responsibilities involved parents and children arriving for meetings at the Juvenile Research Center in the building. Bev was always so gracious with them, particularly the kids who might be a bit scared or nervous. It was wonderful to see. 

 I will miss her greatly.
