Angel Gonzalez

Angel also known as P.R. was born to Josefino and Zoraida Gonzalez on March 30, 1965, in San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Angel fought his battle against Cancer quietly for nearly 2 long years. Despite spending much of that time in and out of the hospital, he never lost his sense of humor. Throughout his journey, he cracked jokes with his grown children, made silly faces with his grandchildren, and always made friends with the nurses. He had a great ability to make others smile and his sense of humor will be missed.

Angel showed his immense love for his family by being there whenever he was needed. Befriending him meant that you had a friend for life and would be treated as family. Angel’s great work ethic was always on display through his eagerness to help in any way possible, touching countless hearts with his kindness all the while.

Angel was passionate about food, loving to share meal ideas and barbecue with everyone.

Angel Aka PR is survived by his children Corrine and Jose, and grandchildren Jalen, Ethan, Madelyn and Aria. He is also survived by his brothers Alfred, Edwin, and sisters Iris and Wanda. He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Angel was predeceased by his mother, Zoraida.

Angel’s family will host a funeral on Friday February 16, 2024 at 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The service will be held at Ridge Funeral home in Chicago, Illinois.
