Born Oct. 23, 1932, in Mayfield Heights, he was a former resident of Kirtland before moving to Chester Township in 1960.
William was on the Board of Trustees of Gilmore Academy, and a former member of the West Geauga Rec. Council. He coached youth sports, including little league baseball and Lions Club football. William dedicated his life to his family and his business.
He was the founder and owner of Mr. Excavator Inc.
Survivors are his wife, Patricia; children William J. (Kathryn), Jerome P. (Samantha), Timothy A. (Monica), Robert C. (Maureen), Elizabeth A. (Frank), Miranda, and Thomas J. (Lisa); grandchildren, Jeree, Katy (Michael) Nagaj, Kelly (Brian) Dolecek, Brandon, Madison, Julianne (Michael), Ella, Allison (Daniel) Hazen, Andrew, Matthew, Jillian, Margaret, Patrick, Emma, Christopher, Maxwell, Annie, Oliver, and Kerrigan; great-grandchildren, Frankee, Sidney, Bo, A.J., Hadleigh, Quinn, Grayden, and Sadie; and brother, Elmer (Bernie).
He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Margaret Flesher; sisters, Dorothy Hambrecht and Betty Jane Flesher; and grandson, Sean.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at Church of Saint Anselm, 12969 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township. The Rev. Thomas Sweany will officiate.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township.
