Lester "Les" Cain

Funeral services for Lester "Les" Cain, 91, of Willowick, will be 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, at Chesterland Baptist Church, 12670 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township. (Please meet at the church.) The Rev. Joe Woods will officiate.

Mr. Cain passed away Dec. 20, 2012.

Born Feb. 16, 1921, in South Euclid, he lived in Russell Township for 50 years before moving to Willowick.

Les was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Forces, serving in World War II. He was a former member of Chesterland Baptist Church. Les enjoyed camping, traveling with friends and family, woodworking and making stained glass. He also enjoyed snowmobiling, often sledding great distances with family and friends.

Mr. Cain was employed as a supervisor of transportation for the West Geauga School System, retiring in 1983 after 28 years of service.

Survivors are his sons, James (Linda), Douglas (Lisa) and Patrick (Donna); stepdaughter, Saundra Cobb; grandchildren, Brandon, Morgan, Ethan, Reid, Jeffrey and Kristen; one great-granddaughter; sister, Charlotte Riter; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Juanita (nee Sisson); second wife, Cleora (nee Reid); sister, May Gates; and brothers, Maurice and Thomas Cain.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home, 12524 Chillicothe Road, Chester Township. Private interment will be in Chester Township Cemetery.
