Kathryn A. McCarty

Kathryn (Kay) A. McCarty (nee Kubik), age 95, dearly beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away of natural causes on January 27, 2021 in Aurora, Ohio. She is survived by her four children: Joanne Schiemann (Jeff), Diane Carrabine (Tim), Carol Goldstein (Jeff), and David McCarty (Beth), ten grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Kay was born in Cleveland on July 31, 1925 and attended John Hay High School. She worked as a bookkeeper for various auto-parts stores where she met her husband Donald, who passed away in 2015. Married for 63 years, she and Don raised their children in Euclid, Ohio. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who volunteered in many organizations including the Euclid General Hospital Ladies Auxiliary, Lakeside Yacht Club Ladies Auxiliary, and Eastern Star. The family would like to thank the compassionate caregivers of Anna Maria of Aurora. In lieu of flowers, her family is asking those who knew and loved her to honor her by paying it forward.
