George Robert Evans, of Novelty, Ohio, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2024, at the age of 65. He was born on October 17, 1959, to Robert Evans and Carol (Malone) Evans, both of whom preceded him in death. George was deeply saddened by the loss of his daughter, Ashley, who also passed before him.
He is survived by his two sisters, Janet Stearns and Virginia "Ginger" Kler, as well as four nieces and one nephew. He was also a proud great-uncle to seventeen great-nieces and great-nephews.
Throughout his life, George held various jobs, including his work with Patton Pest Control, the Hunting Valley Road Department, and others. He was a graduate of West Geauga High School.
A true lover of adventure, George enjoyed stock car racing, motorcycle riding, pheasant hunting, and fishing. His favorite place was Middle Bass Island, where he spent many cherished moments, and it will be his final resting place.
One of George’s greatest passions was his 1956 Chevy truck, which he inherited from his Grandpa Evans. George lovingly restored the truck over the years and proudly displayed numerous trophies for his efforts.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Middle Bass Fire Department or the Middle Bass Town Hall. Donations can be sent through Janet or Ginger.
A memorial gathering will be held at Fellowship Church, 16391 Chillicothe Road, Chagrin Falls, OH 44023, from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Saturday, December 7th.
