Deborah Sue Davis, age 75, of Mayfield Heights, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 5, 2024, surrounded by her family. Debbie is the daughter of the late Lewis and Doretta (nee Lentz) Spencer. Besides her parents, Debbie is preceded in death by her son, Timothy Rarick.
Debbie is fondly remembered by her husband of 44 years, Timothy Davis; children Dennis Rarick (Amanda Brace) and Amanda Schwartz (Brian); beloved grandson Jacob; brother Roger Spencer (Nancy); mother-in-law Pat Savitski; siblings-in-law Craig Davis (Teresa), Kelly Columbo-Davis, and Maribeth Adler; beloved friends Thomas Rarick (Sandy Bonnot); many nieces, nephews, and friends; and grand dogs Maggie, Scrappy, and Bean
Debbie was proud to have worked for the Mayfield School District where she devoted 25 years. She loved working with the students and attended so many events even after her own children graduated and left campus. She loved listening to music, dancing, all sorts of plants and gardening, and being with people. She was very social and enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and former students. Without effort, she provided so much warmth, comfort, love, and care to those surrounding her and she will be missed by so many.
Visitation will be held for Debbie at Gattozzi and Son Funeral Home located at 12524 Chillicothe Road, Chesterland on Friday, December 13, 2024 from 11am – 2pm followed by a celebration of life service. Debbie will be laid to rest privately.
