My condolences to Cheryl's family and close friends who I am sure feel a great loss.  Cheryl was always friendly and kind to others and I only wish that I had had the opportunity to get to know her even more.  She was a great witness to what you can do to make a difference in this world and with the people with whom you come in contact.  I am sure that she was a very positive influence on her many students over the years.

Ms.Proctor always encouraged me even though I had zero musical ability and couldn't hold a note. I remember her always being patient. Rest in Peace

I also taught with Cheryl at Newbury Schools for 30 years and considered her as my friend and sister in the Lord.  She was a great teacher and musician.  She dedicated her life to the students, teachers and community of Newbury and Geauga County area.  I will miss our conversations, visiting craft shows, gardening advice, letters and positive life style.  May the Lord comfort her family and friends as we remember all the special memories of Cheryl in our lives.

Ms. Proctor was a Wonderful Music Teacher that Newbury School was very lucky to have. Many young children learned a great deal from her and she will be missed by so many.Im so thankful to say both of our daughters had her as their teacher. Our prayers and sympathies are with all of her family and dear friends.

Cheryl inspired many young people to become involved with music, both instrumental and vocal. She encouraged my two daughters, Megan and Kate, to study vocal music, piano, flute, and trombone. She arranged for groups of her students to become involved with the Cleveland Orchestra Children's Chorus, and guided both of my daughters through their music studies, long after they were no longer at Newbury. She loved her students and devoted her life to enriching their lives through music. I worked with her as teachers at Newbury, and after I became a school board member and she became head of the teachers' union, we continued our friendship. And the last few years during her illness, she served as an inspiration to many, of courage, strength and faith. We will never know how many lives she touched, but it is safe to say it was countless. God rest her. My daughter Kate and I were talking about Cheryl tonight, and Kate said, "She's singing with the angels now, and probably directing the choir."

What a joyful spirit she brought to the room.  I am blessed to have known her.  Peace to the family and friends.

My condolences to all of Cheryl's family. Cheryl(Sis) was that annoying little sister that was always around.her family was always very kind to me growing up. Her dad was my little league coach and 6th grade teacher.Brothers Duane & Daryl were some of my best friend in 5-8th grade.I slept many summer night at their "Barn" in the back yard,our groups club house. When Cheryl was the President of the Union I was the secretary and worked close with her.  I really got to know her, and enjoyed many long and wonderful conversations with her.  I am so sorry for your loss, may her memory be Forever Eternal, and she is singing with the Angels!

cheryl knew i was teaching dance, she asked me if i would like to do Puttin' on the ritz for their spring concert it was the 5th and6th classes.they were really into it, they even made their own "Puttin'on the Ritz" t-shirts,then came the big night, i was not sure that it would all come together they did great!, Cheryl turned around and gave me a big smile it was one memory that i will always cherish. she made it all so special, and i know that so many of us were touched by her kind and caring nature.

I also worked with Cheryl at Newbury. She was loved by all.

I worked with Cheryl for thirty years at Newbury Schools. I will always remember her dedication to our students and the members of the staff. Cheryl was everyone's advocate. I will miss our conversations. I wish her family peace as they celebrate her life.
