She was retired from AT&T after more than 30 years of service. Mrs. Green was a member of Spring Creek Road Baptist Church and the Fidelis Sunday school class. She was affectionately known to many as Granny Green.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Leslie Green; mother, Dessie McGuire Horton; father and step-mother, James S. & Ethel Horton; sisters, Evelyn Smith and Elaine Ivey; brother, James S. Horton, Jr.; sister-in-law, Nannie Lou Sampson; and step-sister, Geneva Blair.
Survivors include her daughter, Yolanda Green of Chattanooga; son, Garry (Sue) Green of Ringgold; step-grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Sunday, August 9, 2020 from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home. Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the East Brainerd Chapel with Rev. John Ledford officiating.

Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Ringgold, Georgia.
