Tammy Marie Evans

She was a former Business Systems Analyst for Provident/Unum/Cigna and most recently Viant Insurance Companies. Tammy was a member of Grace Baptist Church and the Ladies Sunday School Class.

She was a graduate of Marion County High School and McKenzie College, and was currently attending Chattanooga State Community College.

She loved fishing, camping, and working with her hands and was a computer guru. Tammy enjoyed helping others any way that she could.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Marie Couey; Uncle, Buddy Couey; great-niece, Angelee Lofty; and great-grandmother, Martha McNabb.

Survivors include her mother, Joey Johnson of Chattanooga; sisters, Gwen Alhomsi of Chattanooga; Cynthia Marlowe of LaFayette, Louisiana; Vicky Rhodes and her fiancée’ James Barton; Margie Allison; and special friend, Gwen Lopez all of Chattanooga; nieces and nephews, Joshua Marlowe, Samantha Daniel, Amanda Cope, Bryan Daniel, Jr.; great-nephew, Blake Lofty.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the East Brainerd Chapel with Dr. Steve Euler officiating. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens, West.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the East Brainerd Chapel.
