Tammy Lee (Wilson) Dockery

Tammy was born in Chattanooga, TN to Mickey and Doris Wilson. She worked as a Creeler at Dixie Yarns for a number of years. She was of the Baptist faith. Tammy loved the great outdoors, especially sitting around a campfire listening to music. She loved fishing, going to the beach, hanging out with friends “pow wows” and gardening (she had a green thumb), but what she loved the most was being with her family and friends.

Tammy went through this life with faith, knowing that everything was always going to be ok. She lived by the verse in Matthew 17: 20-21, For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you." She will be greatly missed.

Her father, Mickey Wilson, son-in-law, Joe Fortson, aunt, Barbara Prichard Weller and cousins, Becky Gann Stafford and David Steele precede her in death.

Survivors include her mother, Doris Prichard Wilson, brother, Mark Edward Wilson (Lori), spouse, Keith Dockery, children, Mandy Weaver Fortson, Levi Dockery (Karla Stewart), step-son, Aaron Dockery, grandchildren, Taylor Weaver, Joseph Fortson, uncle, Larry Prichard (Judy), aunts, Linda Prichard, Gail Prichard, nephew, Travis Lee Wilson, nieces, Meghan Wilson Buckner (Chris), Mariah Jean Wilson (Noah Walton), cousin, Clara Gann Steele and many other family and friends.

The family will receive friends from 12 to 1pm on Friday, January 19, 2024 at Ridgedale Baptist Church, 1831 Hickory Valley Road, Chattanooga, TN 37421. A funeral service will follow at 1pm at the church with Dr. Doug Plumlee officiating. Interment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
