Stephen Clay Carter

Because of his life-long walk with God, he was able to handle his illness with amazing grace.

Stephen was born in Scottsboro, AL and raised in Athens, AL. He moved to Chattanooga as an adult to begin his career with TVA, retiring from Watts Bar Nuclear Plant. Stephen was a member of the IBEW Local #175, and member of Meadowview Baptist Church.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife, Suzanne; son, Christopher (Jessica) Carter; granddaughter, Chloe Carter; brother, AL (Kathy) Carter; sister, BJ (Dan) Evans and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Sunday, December 12, 2021 in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jeff Duncan and Pastor Al Miller officiating.

Interment will be at 11 AM Monday, December 13, 2021 at New McDonald Cemetery.
