Sandra Rice Johnson

Sandra Gail Rice-Johnson, of Burlison, TN, passed away surrounded by her loving family after a courageous 3 ½-year battle. Preceded in death by 8 siblings, her beloved husband, Raymond “John” Johnson and granddaughter Kristin Taylor. Sandra leaves behind a legacy of strength, love, and unwavering devotion to her family.

Sandra is survived by her cherished sister Bettie Howard; her niece and nephew, Debi and Dusty Scarborough; her daughter, Sandy Saylors; her grandchildren, Kayla and Claudia Roley, Sabra and Gio Pena, and Brendan Oostra; and her precious great-grandchildren, Oliver (15), Rowan (7), and Jensen (6 months). Sandra, known as "Mimi," was deeply devoted to her great-grandchildren and shared an unbreakable bond with them, as well as her beloved dog, Leodore.

Throughout her life, Sandra was a beacon of strength, teaching those around her what it means to fight and persevere. Her love, wisdom, and warmth left a lasting impact on her family and friends, and they feel blessed to carry with them the special memories they shared with her.

A celebration of Sandra’s life will be held on Saturday, September 21st, from 4:00 to 6:30 PM at 8920 Afton Lane, Chattanooga, TN 37421. Her family invites all who knew and loved her to come together in honor of her remarkable life.
