Ronnie was born August 1, 1952, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Emmitt and Jessie Barton.
After High School in 1969 Ronnie enlisted in the United States Army for 3 years and served in Vietnam. He re-enlisted for another 4 years and spent time in Germany. He received an Honorable discharge. He also received the National Defense Service Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal.
Since a young age he enjoyed playing guitar and singing.
He is survived by his daughter, Rhiannon Partridge and husband Allen, son, Jesse Barton and wife Tonya, Ron Barton Jr.; sisters, Sandi Fuller, Debbie Turner and Vicky Villanueva; Grandchildren, Nephew, Nieces, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Mother, Jessie; Father, Emmitt and younger sister Kathy.
