Bob was raised in Chattanooga and graduated from Tyner High School. He then served proudly in the U. S. Army from 1966 – 1968. He lived most of his adult life in Oklahoma City, where he graduated from The University of Central Oklahoma.
He was a natural salesman and was grateful to be able to earn a living doing what he loved. He had a long career representing Hardwick Stove Company and then The Learning System, and many of his customers became life-long friends.
Bob was preceded in death by infant daughter, Kelley Marie; his parents, Lewis Porter and Pauline Harris O’Neal; and his brothers, Randal and Gary.
Bob is survived by his much-loved wife of 53 years, Jane; and their twin daughters, Kelley Elizabeth and Christine Marie.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, March 19th at 11:30 am at St. Stephen Catholic Church. Visitation will be from 10:30 -11:30 am at the church on the same day
A private burial will be held at Chattanooga National Cemetery at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House of Chattanooga.
