Richard Farrior, 84, of Ooltewah, passed away Friday, December 2, 2016. A native of Vicksburg, Mississippi, he has been a resident of the Chattanooga area for the past 50 years and was a member of the McDonald Road Seventh-day Adventist Church. He was a retired Truck Driver for McKee Foods and was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the Korean War and Vietnam.
He was the son of the late Vernon and Audrey Farrior and was also preceded in death by a brother, Randall Farrior.
Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Rosalie Farrior; two daughters, Yvonne Long Ramirez and husband Carlos, Frances Johnson and husband Ron; two sons, Donald Farrior and Vernon Farrior and wife Lisa; nine grandchildren; nine great grandchildren, from Georgia, Michigan and Tennessee; brother Lloyd Farrior, Conway, SC.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in the Valley View Chapel with Pastor Don Gettys officiating. Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 74154 Old Lee Highway.
