It has been years since I last saw Nathan, but his memory surpasses the passage of time. My memories of Nathan contain these two descriptors: boundless curiosity and boundless enthusiasm.

I loved Nathan. It was impossible to know him and to not love him.

Nathan and I were friends and we worked at the Mental Healyh center. There could not be a finer man

The main memory I have of Nathan is that he had such a positive attitude, a smile, a laugh, a compliment, a good firm hand shake or sometimes he would put his arm around you and squeeze you a little! He would often remind people of a scripture that was encouraging and positive as well.  May his memory live on!  Thank you Nathan, for lifting up Jesus and encouraging people to look up with faith in the soon coming of our wonderful Savior!  Come soon Lord Jesus! Revelation 22:20

Mr. Rice was a truly an amazing soul. I remember his stories, his unique voice and bright eyes were so captivating making me compelled to listen !When he carried on a conversation he reciprocated the same undivided attention . Always making the listener feel important and truly valued.... that’s what I’ll cherish in my memory, along with his wild white hair .

Nathan (Dad) was my father in law for over 20 years.  He always treated me as a son and was there for me when I lost my own father.  I will definitely miss him and his kind and encouraging words and for sure his laugh.  He was a very intuitive person and could pick up on emotions and was an excellent listener. Words alone cannot express my deepest sympathies to the Rice Family.  Having grown up with the Rice's there are many, many fond memories of years gone by. Mr. Rice you will be missed. We always remember Nathan with a smile on his face, and in his voice!  He was a caring and compassionate gentlemen who loved people!  I believe he can look in the loving face of his Savior very soon and greet him with a hug and thanksgiving, and probably on his knees! I met Mr. Nathan, his wife Marna, here at the apartments.  He was a loving husband, so very kind, and took wonderful care of his wife.  He would always say, God bless you, when leaving the dining room after their meal.  I will miss his kind smile, the way he would wave as he passed by, heaven has gained another angel, and we have lost a little more light out of this world.  RIP Mr. Nathan.

I  knew Nathan as a girl at the First Spfld SDA Church.  He always had a smile on his face.  He loved the Lord.  
When I was in High School I went to work for Nathan at his Rest Home  in Spfld.  I did this thru the summer.  He was always kind to me.
He and his family moved back to TN, where, on occasion we would stop by (we were in TN to visit  our daughters) and visit him at his home in Alabama.   I believe we even spend the night with them at there mobile home.
I will miss Nathan, his infectious  laugh  and his love for the Lord .   Rest in peace my friend.

I will never forget the excitement I experienced during my younger days anytime cousin Nathan come to visit Williamsburg, or when we would visit Nathan and family in Springfield. It was always a good time.

Sometimes he would ride up to our little home town on his motorcycle alone to primarily visit with his parents who lived right across the street from me. 

So I would hear the bike, and know who it probably was. He was always positive, and made me feel comfortable and welcomed. Those were the good old days.

I shall miss his smiles, his hugs and his kind words of encouragement.
