Mildred Y. Sholtz Kesley, 88, of Ooltewah, TN, passed away Friday, April 24, 2015. A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, she was retired from Orange Grove Center and was of the Church of God faith. She was preceded in death by her husband Walter P. Kesley, her second husband Rayford White; sister Beatrice Wyrick; eight brothers, Leonard, Raymond, Winifred, Harold, David, J.B., Paul and Virgil Sholtz; one granddaughter and two great-grandchildren. Survivors include five daughters, Joyce (Wayne) Miller, Spencer, TN, Wanda (Kenneth) Simmons, Cleveland, TN, Beverly Kesley, Ooltewah, Karen (David) Long, Ooltewah, Vanessa (Robert) Massingill, Ooltewah; three sons, Larry P. Kesley, Ooltewah, Lebron (Connie) Kesley, Flintstone, GA and Ricky (Vickie) Kesley, Ooltewah, TN; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; brother, Billy (Tina) Sholtz, Ooltewah; sister Cindy (Boots) Abbott, New Mexico; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to give a special Thanks to the caregivers at Hospice of Chattanooga for their care and compassion, especially to Courtney, Maryann and Dawaine. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Valley View Chapel by her son Brother Ricky Kesley and Pastor Roy Terry officiating. Interment will be in Lee Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Sunday and from 12 noon till 8 p.m. on Monday at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory & Florist, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
