Mr. Michael Kent Webb

Michael Kent Webb, age 72, of Chattanooga, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2016 in a local healthcare facility. He was born December 20, 1943 in Salisbury, North Carolina to the late Bill & Mildred Webb.

Michael was a 1962 graduate of East Ridge High School.

He was employed by Velsicol Chemical Company for 37 years as a Lab Supervisor. He retired from his second career at Lifeway Christian Stores in October, 2010.

He was a member of Brainerd Baptist Church for 45 years and served as a deacon.

Survivors include his loving wife of 45 years, Alberta “Bert” Norwood Webb; one sister, Nancy Webb (James Barney) Wilbanks, Ringgold, Georgia; one niece, Michelle Campbell, Hixson; one nephew, Matt Wilbanks, Ringgold; two great-nephews, Christopher Davis and Wyatt Wilbanks, Ringgold; two uncles, Bus (Mabel) Morgan, Kannapolis, North Carolina and Winston Barfield, Statesville, North Carolina; one aunt, Evelyn Webb, Chattanooga; and a host of cousins and friends considered as family.

The family will receive friends Saturday, July 16, 2016 from 4-7 p.m. and Sunday, July 17, 2016 from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 17, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. in the East Brainerd Chapel with Rev. Mike Lofton and Rev. Bill Bond officiating.

Interment will follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park.
