Mary A Lloyd

Mary Alice Lloyd, 76, departed this life on Sunday, January 21, 2024 at her residence. She was a high school graduate from Riverside High School in 1965. Mary was a LPN at Erlanger Medical Center in the early seventies. In the late seventies, she suffered a stroke and was diagnosed with dementia. Mary lived out the rest of her life peacefully and unbothered until God called her home.

She is preceded in death by her son, Anthony Lloyd; mother and father, Charlsie and Charles Lloyd; grandmother, Alice Faye Walker; sisters, Shirley Lloyd, Sharon Lloyd, Brenda Lloyd, Charlesetta Lloyd, Debra Vinson, and Doris Strong; brother, Charles Lloyd Jr.; nephew, Kevin Clay Jr.; and dear friends, Arthur “A.J.” McClellan and Peggy Suttles.

Mary leaves to cherish her memories her daughter, Latricia “Tre Ci” Lloyd; sister, Hattie Cooper; 4 grandchildren, Anthony Lloyd, Kendrick Lloyd Sr., Larry Douglas Jr., and Bronesha Tarpkin; 15 great-grandchildren, Shawdra Kinamore, Treonna Kinamore, Kendrick Lloyd Jr., Amarreo Lloyd, Aaliyah Lloyd, Matondo Lloyd, Elijah Lloyd, Le’Marion Douglas, Za’Miyah Douglas, King Douglas, My’Joi Douglas, Travis Tarpkin, Trevor Tarpkin, Ar’Monii Brown, and Avaonna Sims; dear niece, April Elaster; dear friend, Valerie “Ann” Montgomery; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service for Mary will be held Saturday, February 24, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services - Franklin Strickland Chapel, 1724 Mccallie Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404.
