Mary Ruth Knight

She was the daughter of the late Floyd Marlus Rogers and Rosa Lee Pruitt Rogers and was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Knight, son, David “Chub” Knight, granddaughter, Alisha Marie Knight, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Mary was of the Baptist faith.

She retired from Georgia Pacific. Mary loved to laugh, fish, go to yard sales, play cards and Aggravation and take trips to the beach.

Survivors include her children, Debbie (Thomas) Carney of Ashland City, Tennessee, Teresa Knight and Homer D. (Rosemary) Knight both of Ooltewah, Tennessee, Billy (Gina) Knight of Crossville, Tennessee, Mary Howard of Chattanooga, Tennessee, 16 grandchildren, 22, great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, October 10, 2020, at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, October 10, 2020, in the funeral home with Pastor David Hooper officiating.

A graveside committal service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, October 11, 2020 in Lee Cemetery.
