She was preceded in death by her father, Hazen Eugene Cornelius, son, Jonathan David Ketterer and brother, Steven Peter Cornelius.
Mary was a member of Duncan Park Baptist Church, where she taught the Sunday school class for the elementary children for over 30 years. She was a big advocate for missions work and had the privilege of going on some missions trips herself. Mary had a big heart and loved serving others. Teaching was a passion of hers and she lovingly homeschooled her children throughout school. After teaching, she was a dialysis nurse for 13 years and loved her patients. Mary was an avid walker and had a zest for life, but what she loved the most was spending time with her family, especially her grandkids. She will be missed greatly.
Survivors include her loving husband of 40 years, Barry Ketterer, daughters, Rebecca Grace Ellis (Hudson Taylor) and Elizabeth Megan Whited (Brandon Paul), step-son, Joshua Daniel Ketterer (Krystina), grandchildren, Madelaine Joy, Claire Sophia, David Taylor, Timothy Hudson and William Cornelius Ellis, Joshua Eugene, Jonathan Joseph and Remi Elaine Whited and Ellie Ketterer, mother, Madelaine Mary Cornelius Box (Donald) and numerous nieces and nephews.
