Mary Louise Hullender

Mary Louise Hullender, 77 of Apison, TN, went home to be with her Lord and Savior of Friday, December 20,2024, after a battle with Alzheimer’s. She was surrounded by her family at the time of her death.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Daily LeRoy Kelley, Jr. and Wanda Ruth Ware Kelley Barnes.

Mary is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 61 years, Jerry W. Hullender; son, Michael W. (Deborah) Hullender, Sr.; daughter, Joy Hullender; grandchildren, Michael W. Hullender, Jr., Chad (Gina) Hullender, Kelsey Hullender, Haley Hullender, Mikaela (Kamonte) Hullender and Noah Cantor; sisters, Ann Kelly Pickens and Mildred Kelley Cochran.

Mary was a Pediatric Nurse for over 40 years, starting with Dr. Joe Lavecchia and then Dr. V. Rogers. She was known for her kindness and compassion. Many of the children, she was known as “Nurse Mary”. Mary loved her flower garden, bird watching and yard sales. She was a great bargainer and enjoyed it immensely. In Mary’s later years, winters were spent in FL where she loved to ride her bike, socialize and made many friends.

The family will receive friends from 11 AM ~ 1 PM Friday, December 27, 2024, at the funeral home.

A Graveside service will be held at 2 PM Friday, December 27, 2024, at Plowman Cemetery with Michael W. Hullender, Jr., Chad Hullender, Noah Cantor, Paul Showers, John Bryson, Kris Swaney and David Woodcock serving as pallbearers.
