Donald Mark Draper passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2016. A father of three, he was an award winning interior designer with Artech Design Group. In his career he helped shape the city of Chattanooga, including the renovation of the Tivoli Theatre, the Mayor's office and work with the Ronald McDonald House Foundation. He was survived by his children, Clay, Chuck and Emily, his grandchildren, William, Samantha and Adeline, and his siblings, Bill, Kenneth, Donna and Paul. In addition to extended family and friends, he was also survived by the mother of his children, Mildred Draper. A visitation before his cremation will be at Chattanooga Funeral Home, Valley View, 7414 Old Lee Highway, Chattanooga, from 4-8, on Saturday, March 19. A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 21 at 1 p.m. at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 1505 North Moore Road, Chattanooga.
He passed on a passion for the golden section, the golden ratio and the golden rule — an inexhaustible fortune of wisdom and love. He lived well, was loved by all and, in the words of Walt Whitman, sounded his "barbaric yawp over the roofs of the world."
