Lou Ann was born on July 6th 1940 to Willie Lee, and Reba Lois Allmon in Trion, Georgia. She was the second of three children. After graduating from Lafayette high school, she attended secretarial school in Atlanta, GA. It was there that she met her husband, Lamar. He knew immediately she would be the woman he would marry and soon after they started a new chapter in life.
Lou Ann married James Lamar Allen October 16th, 1959. They traveled the country together for Lamar’s work and went on to have two children, Cynthia Michelle (Michelle) and James Lamar Jr. (Jimmy).
Lou Ann was predeceased in death by her parents Reba and Willie Allmon.
She is survived by her husband, James Lamar Allen, her brothers, Mike Allmon and Calvin Allmon (Debbie), her children, Michelle Miller and Jimmy Allen (Karen Sue), her grandchildren, Jessica Jenkins (Jeremy), Brandon Allen (Ashley), Ian Allen (Kyndal), HannahLea White (Jon), and her great-grandchildren, Waylon White, Darrow Allen, Tristan Allen, Jonathan White, Alexander Jenkins, and two great-grandchildren on the way, Malakai James Allen and Athena LouAnn White.
Her legacy of grace, love, and unwavering faith will continue to impact her family and everyone that knew her for generations to come.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 3:00 pm on Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 8451 E. Brainerd Rd., Chattanooga, TN 37421. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm until time of service in the reception hall at the church.
