Gail, Kevin, and Brent - I just learned of Lloyd's passing.  I am so very sorry for your loss and in such an unexpected way.  
Lloyd was a good man with solid values who loved his family. And he was an awesome public health employee.  Hamilton County kindergarten immunizations were in sad shape until Lloyd stepped in and took our rates to some of the highest in the state. He was well-known and regarded for his public health contributions throughout Tennessee.
I had the pleasure of working with and getting to know Lloyd for many years.  I'm thankful for my friendship with your husband and father.  Bless you all.  I'm praying for you.

Like many others, I got to know Lloyd by way of racquetball. He was always the friendliest and most approachable person. He clearly loved the sport and was always up for a game. He will be truly missed at the Sports Barn and by his racquetball friends.

I met Lloyd at my daughter's wedding to his son a few years ago.  He was such a funny guy, always smiling, and with a great personality.  Thoughts and prayers to the family.  I lost my husband in the same manner six years ago.  I am sorry that I cannot pay my respects because I am currently living out of state.

"Hey Buddy"...I can hear him saying that now. I had the pleasure of being Lloyd's supervisor for 7 years and he always had a smile on his face. May God bless his family in this time of need.

I met Lloyd my first year working at the Health Department.  He became my TPHA roommate that year and every year thereafter until he retired.  He had so much knowledge about the history of public health in Chattanooga and I learned a great deal from him.  He was a great friend.  Praying for Gail and his two sons in their loss.

Lloyd was a fixture at the east Sportsbarn.  Always friendly and pleasant and loved to play the game of racquetball.  Just two weeks ago, I introduced my girlfriend to him.  He was kind and decent to her as he was with everyone.  Every time I walk into Sportsbarn East, I will think of and remember Lloyd.

I met Lloyd about two years ago playing racquetball at the Sports Barn. I had only played for a short time and was having trouble finding anyone who would play with me. Even though he was a much more experienced player, Lloyd took the time to play two or three times each week so that I might improve my game. I was always impressed by how kind and generous Lloyd was both on and off the court and am grateful that I was so often the beneficiary of his kindness. I send my love and respect to his family. I know that he will be greatly missed by the entire racquetball community at the Sports Barn East. 

Hey Buddy will miss you on Sunday mornings at the Sports Barn.  Maybe we will get to play at some point in the future. Enjoyed all of the games.  Best of luck to your family and may God help us all.

I first got to know Lloyd years ago when he introduced me as well as many others to the game of racquetball. He was always competitive & encouraging. Over the past 12 so years, we would always see Lloyd at the SportsBarn. He played everyday after work. He taught a lot of us beginning players how to be better players in racquetball and in life. He will be greatly missed by all of us. Much love and respect for Lloyd and his family. Many condolences from my family and many others that you have touched.
