She was preceded in death by her father, Jack May and sister, Sandra Pickett.
Linda was a former employee of Erlanger Hospital and was a member of Bayside Baptist Church.
She was devoted to her family and was the best Nana in the world to her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Phillip Smith, Harrison; son, Bradley Smith, Ooltewah; daughter and son-in-law, Tathia and Robert Mattila, Ooltewah, six grandchildren, Alexis, Taylor, Jackson, Riley, Carson, Scout; mother, Lois May, Soddy Daisy; sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Robert Hawkins, Soddy Daisy; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Chattanooga National Cemetery with the Rev. Eric Stitts officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Bayside Baptist Church World Missions, 6100 Highway 58, Harrison, TN
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, 7414 Old Lee Highway.
